There is a spot for you here
After nearly two decades of researching and teaching resiliency, I have come to understand this:
Today will be okay. We are okay. And being okay is enough.
In a world that constantly pushes us to be more, do more, and strive for perfect, it can feel like “okay” is not enough. But here’s the truth: being okay is not settling, it is the solid ground we build from. It’s the heart of Everyday Resiliency.
Resilient people aren’t fearless or flawless. They’re practiced. They keep showing up, again and again, even when it’s hard. That’s not luck or magic, it’s a skill. And the good news? It can be learned.
One of the most powerful tools we have in this practice is hope. Hope isn’t wishful thinking—it’s a strategy. It helps us hold steady during the storms and take bold steps toward what matters, even when the path is unclear. Hope reminds us that better days are possible, and that we are capable.
So take a deep breath. Start wherever feels right. There’s no wrong way to begin. And I’m just so proud of you for starting.
You got this.
And I’ve got you.
