Hi everyone, it's Robyne...

Let’s begin right here—at the crossroads of a high school dropout who forged an extraordinary path to become an award-winning psychology scholar who later left her ‘once’ dream job to unlock her true purpose. 

My life story, probably like yours too, has taken some unexpected turns; I followed society’s golden rules: be nice, work hard, stay in school, and secure a great job for happiness. Sound familiar? 

Well, I was nice (often), worked hard (mostly) and stayed in school until grade 11. I then dropped out, only to make an epic comeback after surviving a life-threatening accident, all culminating in a doctoral degree. Eventually, I achieved my dream job at a university, only to redefine how I wanted to earn a livelihood, which resulted in me stepping away from the academy to pursue consulting, entrepreneurship, writing, and speaking (which ultimately has led to me being satisfied and fulfilled in a way I never dreamed was possible!). Oh yes, and I am still conducting active research and creating open educational resources too!  

I built my comeback from a very dark season of my life, all with the goal of wanting to be of service however I could. My career has been dedicated to understanding and teaching resiliency and well-being. And while I am fully engaged in this work, my most important work is being a mother to 3 teenagers who teach me every day that I still have a lot to learn, and life is truly an adventure!  

And now, here we are. I am deeply honored to be sharing this work with YOU. It is no accident that you are here, and our paths now have crossed.  

Through my extensive work in higher education and global outreach, travelling and working across North America, Central America, Europe, the Middle East and virtually connecting with every continent, I’ve witnessed firsthand the life-changing impact of embracing the five pillars of resiliency in the face of adversity. I advocate passionately for fostering personal and professional growth, resiliency, and optimal well-being in every facet of life.
